Neighborhood Gallery

455 Vallejo #304

Telegraph Hill is one of the city's oldest neighborhoods and is home to the largest concentration of pre-1870 buildings in San Francisco, some of which predate the gold rush.

Nearby Coit Tower, named after the heiress who donated the funds to honor San Francisco's firefighters, dominates the skyline of this residential community just above Chinatown and North Beach. The slopes of Telegraph Hill lead to the financial district, Fisherman's Wharf, and the waterfront, making this an extremely walkable neighborhood. Its towering trees have been colonized by rowdy flocks of escaped parrots now gone feral.

Roll down Vallejo to North Beach - named as one of ten "Great Neighborhoods in America” by the American Planning Association. The neighborhood is San Francisco's "Little Italy" and still has many Italian restaurants, alongside numerous and myriad other restaurants and nightlife. It was once the epicenter of the beatnik movement and remains one of San Francisco's most vibrant districts.
